This large Deck Girder bridge crosses Pike County 292 and a Branch of Noix Creek near Bowling Green, just south of US-54.

It was built in 1899 by the Lassig Bridge & Iron Works for the Chicago & Alton Railroad. Between the years of 1890 and 1900, this line saw major upgrades. This project was one of the later projects to occur.
Instantly recognizable, the bridge features three deck girder spans. The middle span is a shorter span, supported by large steel towers. The abutments are constructed of stone.

In the fall of 2015, the bridge received a significant rehabilitation. This included jacketing the west abutment in concrete. This same procedure was carried out many years ago on the east abutment.

Due to the historic nature of the bridge, the author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant. The deck girder design is rather common, although using a large trestle at this type of location may be slightly less common.
Regardless, the bridge contains a high level of historic integrity.
